Congratulations on your pregnancy. At Breathing Place Yoga & Physical Therapy we are here to help you be fit and healthy for your pregnancy and prepare your body for childbirth. From the second and third trimesters of pregnancy as your body more visibly starts to change Pregnancy Yoga and Pregnancy Massage can help support your physical and mental health.

Pregnancy (Antenatal/Prenatal) Yoga

Being fit during pregnancy will help you more easily adapt to your changing body and prepare for labour.  Gentle and safe Pregnancy yoga classes help you keep active, while the meditation and breathing techniques can help you focus inward, decrease anxiety and enhance your sense of wellbeing. Prenatal yoga and meditation connects your mind and body to help you be more ‘in the moment’ as you prepare physically and mentally for childbirth.

Pregnancy Massage

Pregnancy or Maternity Massage is designed specifically for women in the second and third trimesters of pregnancy. Nurturing mother-to-be, this relaxing treatment uses safe but effective pre-natal techniques to ease aches, pains, and tension. Pregnancy massage is a deeply soothing therapy that works to increase energy, improve circulation, reduce swelling in hands and feet, and alleviate tension in the lower back, neck, and shoulders.

A healthy and balanced diet coupled with regular antenatal care is important to ensure both you and your baby are in good health.

Physical & Mental Health during pregnancy
