2-Hour Yoga for Sports Workshop: 1pm, Saturday 10th February 2018

Yoga is an excellent cross training practice, bringing balance and flexibility to any training regime. At this Sports workshop you will learn how yoga increases core strength, improves muscle balance, flexibility and range of movement, and aids to prevent sports injuries.  Regular yoga practice will help develop stamina, endurance and help performance through increasing breathing capacity. It helps the body recover and restore from competitive sports. A focused mind helps win matches and endure challenges.


This Yoga for Sports two-hour workshop will focus on hips, hamstrings, core and shoulders to help develop athletic performance. A strong dynamic yoga workshop, the Yoga for Sports workshop will help build strength, core, flexibility and balance and teach you to stay mentally strong and focused.


The practice will be based on the following :
  • Alignment: the main pillar of yoga practice
  • Range of movement in joints , essential for mobility and injury prevention,
  • Breathwork
  • Stretching and strengthening of muscles and also the relaxation of muscles so that the body can rest and repair.

This workshop is suitable for all levels. Suitable for elite and recreational athletes across all sports and activities as well as non-athletes. Please wear comfortable clothing and bring water and small towel.
