This Beginner’s Chair Yoga course is suitable for all levels.

Chair yoga is a gentle form of yoga that is done while seated or using a chair for balance to safely practice traditional yoga poses. This makes the practice more accessible to those recovering from injuries or surgery or feel that they have restricted movement. This class is Forrest Yoga inspired – we will focus on the Breath, build general Strength, practice with Integrity and connect with our own Spirit. Each class will conclude with a relaxation session to unwind and integrate the benefits of the practice. 

This class is a safe space to work within your own limits, listen to your needs and connect to your truth so you can take these gifts Beyond the class into the rest of your life.

Description

This is a Forrest Yoga inspired Chair Yoga course. Chair Yoga is an accessible way to practise yoga, modifying traditional poses for people who might find them challenging The practice will meet you where you are at allowing you the space to work safely within your own limits. New students, beginners to chair yoga, students with restricted movement and/or recovering injuries or illness are all welcome.

Chair Yoga offers the qualities and benefits of traditional mat yoga including conscious breathing, purposeful movement and mindful meditation.

Forrest Yoga does not require strength or flexibility; it only requires a willingness to learn how to feel authentically and respond honestly.
