5 Week Iyengar Yoga Course: 7.15pm, Friday 20th September 2019
Iyengar Yoga is characterised by precision and alignment. Students are able to achieve the benefits of each yoga pose through the use of props, gentle adjustments and attention to detail in teaching. The progressive nature of Iyengar Yoga ensures you learn the poses in a systematic way so your understanding deepens and you safely progress to build flexibility, stability, strength and well being.
An ideal class for those who are new to yoga, or those who have some prior yoga experience but want more focus on the alignment aspects of yoga to support correct posture when building strength and flexibility.
This Beginners Iyengar Yoga course will introduce the fundamentals of Iyengar yoga poses and is based on the teachings of B.K.S Iyengar, where alignment and integration of body, mind and breath are in harmony.
An open level yoga class for students new to the Iyengar Yoga Method. Yoga poses are adapted to deal with injuries or conditions such as arthritis or fibromyalgia. Students with scoliosis will benefit from the strong focus on alignment. Drop-ins are welcome.
2-Hour Yoga 101 Workshop: 2.30pm, Saturday 7th September 2019

Created for students new to Yoga and for those looking to gain a deeper understanding of foundational postures, this introductory-level workshop will allow you to experience yoga as you learn the basic postures, breath work and develop a solid foundation of the basics of hatha yoga.
The back to basics yoga workshop will take an in-depth look into key foundation yoga poses; safely and receiving the care and attention you need to build confidence. You’ll develop body awareness, learn basic postures, focus on healthy alignment, and practice coordinating the breath & movement.
Come join Hatha Yoga teacher Val Herbert at this relaxed workshop, delivered in a welcoming and non-intimidating environment that will teach you the basic foundations of a Hatha yoga practice.
Quantum Sound Bath: 4pm, Saturday 21st September 2019

At this Introduction sound bath, experience group energy healing & sound meditation, where participants can choose to be seated or lying down. Allow your body to rest and receive sound therapy as sound harmonies come from singing bowls, gongs, drums, chimes and voice.
This special sound bath is an opportunity to release physical or emotional tension, to foster physical, mental and emotional well-being and to support energy flow. Experience the body literally 'bathed in sound', promoting a deep sense of well being and inner peace. This sound bath promises to be a very relaxing experience.
During the session, every client receives mini sonic treatment along with energy healing to raise the energies in and around the body.

6 Week Tai Chi Beginners Course: 6pm, Tuesday 16th September 2019
Tai Chi is a gentle, low-impact ancient Chinese flowing form of meditative movement that has been practiced for centuries. A form of mind-body exercise, Tai Chi improves the flow of internal energy current ('Qi') for better health and harmony in your body.
A Tai Chi class consists of slow focused movements which improve strength, balance and flexibility. Tai Chi helps reduce stress and anxiety, aids relaxation and improves sleep. Recent research has shown Tai Chi to be beneficial in providing pain relief for certain conditions, particularly fibromyalgia and arthritis.
Tai Chi is beneficial for all ages and fitness levels. Experience a greater sense of well-being through the practice of Tai Chi.
5 Week Yoga for Runners & Cyclists Course: 6pm, Friday 20th September 2019This Iyengar Yoga class is for runners and cyclists, or those wanting to work on the strength, flexibility and release of the muscles that absorb the work of running and cycling. Iyengar Yoga concentrates on precision of postural alignment. Students achieve the benefits of each Yoga pose through the use of props, gentle adjustments and attention to detail in teaching to safely build flexibility, stability and strength. The Yoga for Runners & Cyclists class will help you better manage your breathing, to oxygenate the body and create energy. Classes start with time to focus the mind, followed by a series of yoga poses that help develop performance and prevent injuries. Every class ends with a period of time devoted to relaxation allowing the body to absorb the work of the class.
