Prenatal Yoga Classes

4 Week Pregnancy In-Studio Yoga Course (14+ weeks pregnant): 10.40am, Tuesday 9th April 2024

Prepare physically, mentally and  emotionally for birth and motherhood. Much like other types of childbirth-preparation classes pregnancy yoga or prenatal yoga is a multifaceted approach to wellness that encourages stretching, mental centering and focused breathing. Prenatal yoga is a safe way to stay fit and healthy during pregnancy.

Prenatal yoga classes during pregnancy can help to:

  • Improve sleep
  • Reduce stress and anxiety
  • Increase the strength, flexibility and endurance of muscles needed for childbirth
  • Reduced back pain and other common ailments associated with pregnancy such as nausea, tight hips, carpal tunnel syndrome, headaches and shortness of breath.

Our aim is to allow you time to connect with your baby and nurture you through this precious time as you journey to motherhood.  Coming regularly to Pregnancy yoga classes at Breathing Place is a great way to feel part of a community of pregnant women.

Prenatal yoga or Pregnancy yoga is open from 14 weeks pregnant. No previous yoga experience is required and classes are open for all levels of fitness. We recommend commencing pregnancy yoga in your second trimester and continuing your pregnancy classes until before birth but students are welcome to join at any stage. Seek medical advice for any health concerns prior to commencing pregnancy yoga classes.
